We can’t claim that the packaging was the only reason for the business rebirth, yet it had a dramatic impact.
Kovik (diminutive of a cow in Armenian) brand of “Ashtarak Kat” dairy plant was first ever children dairy brand. It was created to fill the existing gap of low-fat dairy products. With the provided marketing data, Backbone had to come up with specific positioning of the brand.
To better accomplish the task, we put forward simple and decent design, basic geometric shapes, natural colors and some good typography based on a round-shaped grid. After the brand world was designed, an appealing brand hero was developed to communicate the healthiness and naturalness of the product. That’s how a very caring and kind image of Kovik had emerged.
This project contributed to making Kovik Brand the top seller in a high competitive category, resulting in dramatic sales increase. Almost immediately after the new package was launched, the client sales leaped nearly 30% of the whole dairy market, depriving even 1% from its mother brand.
